Anyone who has wanted to stop smoking has dreamed
of a magic cure - an easy, effective and effortless
solution that takes the whole problem away. But it is
not usually as easy as what you have expected. There are
many therapies and techniques available to you. To stop
smoking is a long process, which begins even before
stopping and continues long after you had the last
cigarette. Stop smoking is the first step of the process
and the most important thing to do is to stay stopped.
The strong will power and dedication to your decision
will enable you to succeed in the long- term.
Acupuncture (with or without needles) can help
people relieve and prevent the withdrawal symptoms
caused by nicotine addiction, such as nervousness,
insomnia, depression, restlessness and craving for
excessive amounts of food, etc. So, acupuncture
gives them a feeling of well being and
self-confidence, which makes it easier for them to
give up smoking. And after acupuncture, many smokers
feel an unpleasant taste in the mouth, which gets
aggravated with cigarettes. They will have no more
desire to smoke. The treatment is usually of 5-12
sessions depending on how many years you smoke and
how many cigarettes you smoke per day. Most people
are able to stop smoking after their first 3
treatments but need a few more sessions for
continuing relief. Some people might need a few
additional treatments in three to six months time,
for maintenance. According to our experiences, over
70% of cases showed positive results after a course
of acupuncture treatment.
